Clean Contact: All balls must be hit cleanly.

  • No scooping or carrying is allowed.

  • A double-hit is permitted only off a driven ball (e.g., ball contacting the arm and head in one continuous motion).

Net Violations: Contact with the net (except hair) results in loss of point.

  • A player crossing under the net is allowed as long as there is no contact with the net or interference with play.

  • Note: If the wind causes the net to touch a player, it is not a fault and play should continue.

Serving Rules:

  • A served ball may not be blocked, spiked, or volleyed directly back over the net.

  • A serve may be received with a volley, but it must be passed to a teammate (not sent directly back over the net).

Blocking:

Body Contact:

  • The ball may be played with any part of the body.

Gender Requirements:

  • A maximum of 2 men and 2 women are allowed on the court at one time.

  • Teams may play with fewer players if they have at least one man and one woman on the court.
